Pupils from Busledon House, the hospital wards and our outreach provision all enjoyed a trip to Southampton City Farm this week. Situated a short journey from our school, the Southampton City Farm is home to a collection of indoor and outdoor animals. Favourites included the cheeky goats and noisy chickens. As well as learning about how the animals are cared for, pupils were also given the opportunity to handle many animals, from the soft and furry to the scaly and slithery!
It was a fantastic day out and pupils especially enjoyed that they could touch and play with the animals while learning about their natural habitats.
A big thank you to the staff at Southampton City Farm for hosting our trip, we look forward to visiting again in the near future.
