The students at Southampton Hospital School have been joyfully participating in Comic Relief by decorating red noses and keeping track of Greg James’ remarkable cycling challenge! They have been charting his progress on a large map of the UK with stars, which has also enhanced their Geography lessons!
This week, our pupils have been writing their own stories using a “story mountain”. This involved thinking of a problem and a solution to include in their story. You can read Rogan’s story below.
Rogan and Roggie bear were eating honey and toast for breakfast and some fish and chips for lunch
together.
Rogan decided to take Roggie Bear to the zoo to see the other bears.
Roggie Bear was so excited to see the other bears at the zoo but when they arrived at the zoo the
other bears were too sleepy and that the other bears were too sleepy. Instead Rogan decided to see
the other animals.
Roggie Bear did a huge roar which woke all the other bears up.
Rogan took all the bears home.

This week our pupils have been learning about the gunpowder plot and bonfire night. They then wrote acrostic poems on this theme.
Rogan has written a fantastic poem about fireworks!
