The Outreach provision is ideally suited to supporting pupils reintegrate back to school following periods of absence due to medical issues. Admissions are managed through referrals from home schools which must be supported by medical evidence from a medical practitioner (i.e. GP, CAMHS).
Pupils will be supported by qualified teachers on a 1:1 basis as part of a part-time timetable. The teaching can take place at the pupil’s home or in suitable areas within the home school. The outreach provision is most effective as a 6 week intervention and is charged to the referring school on a weekly basis. Throughout the intervention, close liaison with the home school is essential to appropriately support the pupil’s reintegration.
